Investigators are hoping to find at least one man responsible for calling in fake prescriptions to an Indian Land pharmacy late last month, using real doctor identification numbers.
Deputies were tipped off to the scam at 7:03 p.m. June 24, after an employee of CVS Pharmacy, 7697 Charlotte Highway, reported she had received two calls for fraudulent prescriptions, according to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
