Man struck with pipe, robbed outside nightclub

 Deputies are investigating a possible armed robbery and assault outside a nightclub during the early morning hours of  Jan. 27.

Just after 3 a.m., a deputy responded to the Springs Memorial Hospital emergency room about an assault, according to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The deputy spoke with a 27-year-old Lancaster man at the ER who reported the incident. The deputy noted in the report there was a language barrier and said it was difficult to speak with the victim.
