A Lancaster man is wanted on several charges in connection with the shooting of a parked car outside a City Avenue home Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Police issued several arrest warrants for Antonio Emmanuel Champion, 23, 957 14th St., on charges of criminal domestic violence, malicious injury to property, pointing and/or presenting a firearm and discharging a firearm in the city, according to a Lancaster Police Department incident report.
Officers discovered the car and spoke with several witnesses after responding to a shots fired call just before 10 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 300 block of City Avenue.
A woman said she was talking with a man she knew when she noticed Champion standing outside of her sliding glass door.
She told police Champion started yelling and tapping on the glass.
When she refused to open the door, she said Champion pulled a gun from his pants and fired a shot toward a nearby home, the report said.
The woman began screaming and that’s when the man walked to the back of the house, the report said. Soon after, several witnesses reported hearing more gunshots.
The man, who was visiting with the woman, also told police he saw Champion pull out a gun. After moving to another room, the man heard a gunshot from the direction of the porch and then several shots from the other side of the house a few seconds later, the report said.
The woman told police there were two men with Champion, though she couldn’t describe them.
Witnesses said the three men left on foot toward Elm Street, though officers couldn’t find them.
Officers noted in the report they found several bullet holes in a car parked in front of the house, which belonged to the male witness. Police also found parts of a bullet inside the car.
Estimated damage to the car is $1,500.
No arrests have been made and updates to the case were not available from the police department on Thursday afternoon.
