A Lancaster man found himself in jail after he reacted violently when told to leave a Glennwood Avenue home.
Bruce Edward Helms, 65, 408 Glennwood Ave., was arrested Feb. 27 and charged with attempted arson and third degree assault, according to a Lancaster Police Department incident report.
According to the report, Helms was allowed to enter the residence by the victim to clean himself up from a personal accident.
Once clean, he refused to leave the home, went outside and threatened to burn the house down, the report said.
