A Lancaster man was sentenced to five years in prison after he was charged last year with injuring a 1-month-old child.
William Joseph Burdick pleaded guilty in general sessions court Wednesday to inflicting great bodily injury upon a child, 6th Circuit Solicitor Doug Barfield said.
Burdick was charged by the Lancaster Police Department last August with inflicting injury on the child and failure to register as a sex offender.
Judge Brooks Goldsmith also sentenced Burdick to 90 days on the sex-offender charge.
