A Lancaster man was arrested on several charges after deputies found his two young children home alone Tuesday, Oct. 23.
Christopher Blackmon, 26, 227 Dixie School Road, was arrested on charges of public intoxication and two counts of unlawful neglect of a child, according to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office press release.
The arrest came after deputies responded to the area of Buford Crossroads about an intoxicated man on a moped. Deputies found and arrested Blackmon, who told them he was on his way to buy beer when his moped ran out of gas. He also told deputies he left his two children home alone, the release said.
A 6-month-old and a 2-year-old child were found unharmed at Blackmon’s home, the release said.
On Tuesday morning, Blackmon was jailed at the Lancaster County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
