Authorities say one man was responsible for multiple church break-ins in the area over the last two weeks.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has charged Joseph Geddings, 24, of 785 W. Brooklyn Ave., with eight counts of second-degree burglary.
Geddings was arrested Monday morning not long after he broke into First Washington Baptist Church on Meeting Street, according to authorities.
He pried open a door to the church and stole a stereo and a gold cross, said Sgt. Kristen Grant of the Lancaster Police Department.
