11/15/2013 - 12:00pm - 1:00pm

There are 43,000+ Native Americans in South Carolina; one federally recognized tribe and thirteen state recognized tribes and tribal groups. Yet Native Americans are mythical to most South Carolinians. Explore issues, culture and identity through an interactive talk about the contemporary Native American Indian population of South Carolina.
Speaker Marcy L. Hayden is the Native American Affairs Initiative Coordinator for the State of South Carolina.

This event will be held at 12 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Native American Studies Center, 119 South Main Street.
