A lost grant opportunity is weighing heavily on the minds of several county firefighters and residents.
Many of them stepped to the microphone to speak out about the issue during Lancaster County Council’s meeting Monday, Sept. 9.
Their frustration comes from a 3-3 split-vote decision made by County Council on Aug. 26. The tie failed to allow the county’s fire service to apply for a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant.
