Lions roar in wins over Buford

Buford sputtered in its final tune-up for the Conference VIII-AA basketball schedule.

The host Jackets dropped a pair of home games to Class A foe Lewisville High School on Thursday night.

The Lady Jackets, plagued by second-period lapse, fell to the Lady Lions 51-43.

The nightcap was a nightmare for the BHS boys, who dropped a 63-31 loss to the Lions.

Lewisville opened a 30-12 lead at the half and cruised to the win in the boys' contest.

The Lions held a 51-19 spread at the end of three periods.
