Miss Lindsey Nicole Barnes and Mr. Colby Lee Ebert were married at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Grace Church in downtown Greenville. The bride’s uncle, the Rev. Edward Timothy Barnes of Covington, Ga., officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Joseph Barnes of Houston and formerly of Aiken. She is the maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Joan R. Bailey and the late Mr. Ned C. Bailey and the paternal granddaughter of Mrs. Margie J. Barnes and the late Rev. Roy C. Barnes, all of Lancaster. She is a graduate of South Aiken High School and also a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in hospitality and tourism. She is employed by Hoskins Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in Greenville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher G. M. Ebert of Greenville. He is the maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Few of Greenville and the paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Totten of Marathon, Fla., and the late Mr. Robert A. Ebert of Pomona, N.J. He is a graduate of Greenville High School and also a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is employed by Branch Banking and Trust of Spartanburg.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by both of her parents.
The bride’s matron of honor was Claire J. Thompson of Summerville.
Her maid of honor was Chelsea N. Ebert, sister of the groom, of Greenville.
Her bridesmaids were Kelly M. Harkins of Columbia, Erica J. James of Aiken, Megan Maness of Nashville, Mrs. Flynn J. McKinney of Greenville, Holly B. Rollison of Simpsonville, and Amber C. Twitty of Columbia.
The groom’s father, Christopher G. M. Ebert, served as best man. Groomsmen were Bailey Barnes, brother of the bride, of Houston, Texas, Christopher Carino of Greenville, Brooks Felt of Marshville, N.C., Cody Freeland of Greenville, Clinton McKinney of Greenville, Andrew Nesemeier of Charlotte, Brad Rollison of Simpsonville and Mr. Andrew Torres of Greenville.
Dixon Hill and Graham Hill, both cousins of the bride, of Lancaster, and Keith McWhite and Mr. Collin McWhite, both couins of the groom, of Greenville, all served as ushers.
Coleman Maness of Columbia served as greeter.
Katie Anne Roberts of Columbia served as reader.
The wedding reception was held at The Commerce Club of Greenville.
After a honeymoon in Antiqua, the couple will reside in Greer.
