A big change for the better is coming Oct. 16 for Lancaster County Libraries and library users. On that day, the library system will “go live” with the SC Lends Consortium.
The change is essentially a merger with the records of 16 other libraries in the state.
For the user, it will mean immediate access to more than 3 million titles held by those member libraries. At the click of a button, library patrons can choose a book and have it sent by courier to their branch library in Indian Land, Lancaster or Kershaw.
