LHS boosters set special dates in Bruins' season

The Lancaster High School Bruins Booster Club has set several special dates for the upcoming LHS football season.The Bruins’ Sept. 26 home game with Northwestern High School of Rock Hill has been designated as Rec Night.That night all youth football players attending the game and wearing their recreation jersey will be admitted for free at the gate.LHS’s Oct. 3 game with Nation Ford is LHS Military Night.All military personnel who show their identification will be admitted for $3.00.Lancaster High School’s Oct. 10 game with South Pointe High School is community volunteer night.All community volunteers will be admitted for $3.00. The United Way and Red Cross will have booths set up at the game.When Lancaster hosts Ridge View on Oct. 31, the game is city and county employees night and they will be admitted for $3.00.The game is also the Bruins’ annual homecoming game.LHS booster officials will again have the kick for chicken contest at halftime. At each home game, a host of contestants will be picked to attempt a 20-yard field goal at halftime.The winner at each game receives free Chick-fil-A food for a year.The winner’s name will also be placed in a drawing to receive tickets to the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta.Each Monday following the Friday night football game at the Lancaster Chick-fil-A Restaurant, the LHS Booster Club will honor two fall sports student athletes of the week.
