Spartanburg Methodist snapped a 4-all tie with a run in the seventh inning and added three in the eighth for an 8-4 baseball win over the University of South Carolina at Lancaster at Chester High School on Wednesday afternoon.
Tyler Martin took the loss in two-thirds of an inning in relief, allowing a run, hit and two walks.
Alex Davidson worked a third of an inning and yielded three runs, two earned and two hits. Casey Seay worked two frames and gave up no runs, a hit and a walk. He fanned two.
