The recent weekend of champions at Clemson's Death Valley didn't include a Lancaster County team, but there were a few local links.
Lancaster County has always had a presence in the state title football games when it comes to officials and 2008 was no exception.
Ken Hudson, a back judge, worked the Class AAA state title game between Chester and Myrtle Beach. The Seahawks captured the Class AAA crown with a 31-21 win over the Cyclones, who were in the state title game for the second straight season.
