Lady Vols, Warriors fall in first-round playoff losses

Indian Land and Andrew Jackson saw their 2011 Class AA girls Upper State playoff hopes fizzle in first-round losses to Region III-AA teams on Tuesday night.

The IL girls dropped a loss to second-seeded Eau Claire in Columbia, while Andrew Jackson dropped a 60-42 loss to Columbia, the III-AA champion.

The Lady Capitols of Columbia took control of the game in the second period, stretching a 10-9 lead to 31-15 with a pivotal 21-6 run.
