KERSHAW – Karmen Twitty’s athletic scholarship signing Wednesday at Andrew Jackson High also etched the Lady Volunteers’ track standout in AJ sports history.Twitty, headed to Lander University to run cross country for the Lady Bearcats, became the first AJ Lady Vols’ track athlete to sign a scholarship, according to veteran Vols track coach Robert Lambert.“We’ve had a few others who were on the track team, but signed in other sports,” Lambert said.“This is a monumental step for our track program with Karmen’s signing,” Lambert said
