Lancaster and Andrew Jackson each posted two wins in Lancaster County Classic softball pool play games on Wednesday.

Lancaster, in games at Buford, defeated the host Lady Jackets, 3-2 and McBee, 8-1.

Northwestern also took a 2-0 win over McBee at Buford.

Andrew Jackson, in games at AJ, took a 9-0 win over Indian Land and a 10-1 win over Whitmire.

Central of Pageland also downed Whitmire, 10-0 in a pool play game at AJ.

In Pool A games Saturday at Buford, the host Lady Jackets play McBee at 9:30 a.m. The 10:50 a.m. game has Northwestern meeting Lancaster and the 12:15 contest has Buford facing Northwestern.

In Pool B games Saturday at the Buford Recreation softball field adjacent to Buford High School, Indian Land plays Central at 9:30 a.m. and AJ meets Central at 10:50 a.m. Indian Land plays Whitmire at 12:15 p.m.

The championship bracket begins play at 2 p.m., with the championship game at 6:40 p.m. at the Buford High School field. Championship games have an 85-minute limit, with no new innings starting after 75 minutes.

The Buford Recreation field will be the site of the consolation bracket with games to start at 2 p.m., with the consolation final at 6 p.m. The consolation bracket has a 75-minute drop-dead limit.

In AJ’s win over Indian Land, Hannah Cobb was the winner with six strikeouts and allowed a hit. Cobb aided her cause with two hits.

Mayla Flynn took the loss.

Haley Faulkenberry had three hits, while Kinsley Adams had two hits and two RBIs. Katlyn Starnes and Kaitlyn Holden each had a hit and drove in a run. Morgan Eason had one hit.

Courtney Case had one hit for the IL girls.

In the win over Whitmire, Hannah Cobb had two hits and three RBIs. Savannah McKittrick had a hit and two RBIs. Haley Faulkenberry, Kinsley Adams and Morgan Bailey each had a hit and drove in a run.

Haley Vincent hurled the win with three strikeouts and allowed a hit.
