A trio of Indian Land High athletes captured firsts at the Class A Upper State track meet at Landrum.IL also claimed three seconds and a fourth. The Warriors have seven athletes set to compete in the Class A state meet on Saturday at Spring Valley.Wes Scott, IL’s ace distance runner, won the 3200-meter run in 11:02 and 1600-meter run in 4:58.8. IL freshman Mariah Williams also placed in two events, finishing first in the 100 meters hurdles in 17.66 and fourth in the high jump with a 4-foot, 10-inch effort. IL senior Joel Sinnett raced to a first in the 800-meter run at 52.22.
