I-77 Speedway will honor ‘Scooter’ Looper on Saturday

I-77 Speedway in Chester will honor the memory of T.J. “Scooter” Looper Jr., on Saturday.

Looper was killed in an auto accident Jan. 24, 2011 as the Lancaster High School student was on his way to Lancaster High from Great Falls where he lived.

Prior to his death, Looper was beginning to get his feet wet in the racing world. He had a dream to race, so his father, T.J. Looper Sr., gave him the opportunity to drive a race car.
