Deal One Auto Sales presents the Kenny Helms Memorial Crate Sportsman Shootout at Lancaster Motor Speedway on Saturday night. The 25-lap race features $2,000 to the winner.

Second place is a $300 bonus, with a $200 bonus for third, and $100 bonus for fourth.

La Maceta has added $100 more for finishers 5-7.

Tim Sims, at Punkin’s Awards, has added special incentives for the fastest qualifier, a trophy and $50.

The total for the fastest qualifier is $150 after David Threatt’s Auto Outlet donated $100 for the award.

During the race, with five laps to go, a caution for a five-minute break to work on the cars will be held, but only two pit crew members will be allowed on the front stretch. The race also features time trials with inversion.

A fan will also draw a number for the car finishing 11-20 for $100 from Michael Hough of Wasted Money Racing.

The Crate Sportsman Division has produced some of the best races of the 2011 LMS season.

Kenny Ramsey, who took the checkers last week, will be the odds-on favorite entering the race.

Timbo Mangum, Dillon Crook, Travis Payne, Ben Watkins, Hank Taylor and Dustin Sweatt are expected to give Ramsey a battle for the win.

Fans can also expect to see some new racing faces for the Crate Sportsman special.

The LMS card for Saturday night includes the NDRA GM Performance Late Models, Super Street, Pure Street, Vintage, Young Guns and Stock 4.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m., with the grandstand gates to open at 5.

Pit admission is $20, and $10 for the stands.

If you missed any of the action from last Saturday, Jackie Sims has videos for sale at $10 in the grandstands and pits. Johnny Sims also has photos of your favorite drivers for sale.
