Happy Birthday, Coach Kersey

The likeness of the late Mike Kersey was painted on the spirit rock in front of Indian Land Middle School on Thursday, Sept. 13, in honor of his birthday, which was that day. Kersey, the high school’s former wrestling coach and physical education teacher at Indian Land Elementary School, died Oct. 4, 2011, from injuries sustained in an all-terrain vehicle accident.
