Caroline Ashley Hammond and Brian McGill Burton were married at noon April 27, 2013, at The Quarry at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, N.C., by Dr. Bert Welch.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hammond of Lancaster. She is a graduate of Lancaster High School and of Clemson University.
The groom is the son of Mr. And Mrs. Michael Burton of East Grand Rapids, Mich. He is a graduate of East Grand Rapids High School and Berklee College of Music in Boston.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Bridesmaids were Jill Hammond, Meredith Broome and Elizabeth Rowe.
Groomsmen were Billy Jones and Ben Davenport.
Flower girl was Claire Broome.
Page was Carson Broome.
Register attendant was Paige Duke.
Wedding attendants were Mary Beth Auton and Jennifer Barton.
The bride wore her mother’s wedding gown, a long ivory satin gown fashioned with empire bodice, Victorian neckline and cap sleeves with appliques of lace trimmed in seed pearls and crystals. The skirt hemline was edged in place pearls and crystals. Her cathedral mantilla of imported silk illusion was bordered with matching lace.
After a honeymoon to the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee, the couple lives in Davidson, N.C.
