Habitat is grateful for assistance

-A A +A

Habitat for Humanity of Lancaster County would like everyone to know how grateful we are for the wonderful community support we received for our first annual Holes for Homes Golf Tournament on April 26. With your help, we raised $4,800 to help us complete our renovation home located at Penny Street.
Many deserve thanks and recognition for their help. Special thanks to our corporate sponsors, Haile Gold Mine, ArrowPointe Federal Credit Union and WalMart for their support. Thanks to each person or company who sponsored a hole in the tournament. Thanks to those who made a cash donation to help. Thanks to Agape Hospice, Verizon Wireless, ArrowPointe, Springs Memorial Hospital, Founders Federal Credit Union and Carolina Literacy Council for donating bags and really nice items for golfers’ goodie bags.
Thanks to Edgewater Golf Club for its hospitality and help organizing the event, tracking scores and ranking winners. Thanks to the Lancers golf team from Lancaster High School, for all of its assistance. Thanks to the City Fire Department volunteers for cooking up some awesome burgers and hot dogs. Thanks to all who volunteered to help with the tournament. Thanks to George Flanders, Frank Ferguson and Scott Roberts, who served on our tournament committee.
And special thanks to all the golfers who participated. Everyone had a great time, in spite of the cool weather with wind and rainy periods during the day.
Thanks again for the enthusiastic support of so many Lancaster friends. We look forward to next year’s tournament.
