Gregory tells GOP crowd it's time for him to step down from Senate

-A A +A
By Chris Sardelli

State Sen. Greg Gregory spoke to members of the local Republican Party Thursday as he prepares to complete his final term in the District 16 seat.

Gregory, who has served in the Senate for 16 years, addressed a GOP crowd eager to hear his final thoughts about his job. He spoke about his initial run in 1992 and how he was the first Republican to win that seat in more than 100 years.

"Back then, people were agitated and ready for a change," Gregory said. "But I had a good campaign and I got into the Senate."
