The Town of Great Falls collected $3,000 at a public auction on Feb. 20.
Great Falls Mayor Don Camp said the town held an auction at the police department to sell three police department vehicles, a truck and a tractor.
Camp said a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria police car sold for $1,500 and a 1980 Ford tractor with a mower brought in $1,500.
A second 2004 Ford Crown Victoria police car has been sold for $1,500 and a 1999 Ford Expedition used by the police department was sold for $2,500, Camp said Monday.
At a Jan. 22 Town Council meeting, council gave unanimous approval to put money collected at the auction into the capital fund account.
A 1989 Chevrolet truck used by the sanitation department is still available for sale and can be seen at the police department. Camp said a tire was cut on the truck while it was parked at the police station.
Camp said the town is accepting bids on the truck. If interested in submitting a bid, contact Camp at (803) 482-2055.
