Grant will help recruit program volunteers

The Lancaster County Volunteer Guardian ad Litem (GAL) program was recently awarded a $10,000 grant by Jewelers for Children.

The grant will be used to increase recruitment of volunteers in Lancaster County. The Lancaster GAL program serves 51 abused and neglected children.

The goal of GAL is to provide a volunteer advocate for all children involved in the family court system due to abuse or neglect.
