A coveted Southeastern Conference championship is a prize the University of South Carolina football team seeks in this day and age of college football.

The Gamecocks, of course, had a shot last season with its first-ever SEC East Division championship, but fell to eventual national champ Auburn in Atlanta.

The SEC football crown stands as a goal for the Gamecocks.
