Retired educator Margaret Gamble wants to continue serving residents in the Kershaw area while Robert Pelot is looking to hold elected office for the first time.
Gamble and Pelot face off in the Nov. 4 race for the District 6 Lancaster County school board seat.
School board seats are non-partisan.
Gamble, 63, the incumbent, is seeking a second term because she said she wants to help continue many of the programs the Lancaster County School District has undertaken in recent years.
