Four people told sheriff’s deputies that they were robbed at gunpoint in the backyard of a Grace Avenue home early Wednesday.

According to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office incident report, one of the victims said three men walked into her backyard about 3 a.m.

All three men had guns and ordered the victims to stand up and empty their pockets.

After taking the victims’ money and cell phones, the men ran back toward Grace Avenue and began firing their guns. Deputies recovered 9 mm and .45-caliber shell casings on Grace Avenue about 150 yards from the home, the report said.

One of the victims, a 21-year-old man, said he was hit in the head with a pistol by one of the men after he gave the man $185.

The men also ordered him to open the trunk of his car, but didn’t take anything from the car, the report said.

The men took three cell phones, with a total value of $400, from the victims, along with $685.

The men wore bandannas over their faces, the report said. Deputies received information about suspicious activity at Laurel Avenue, about a mile from the Grace Avenue home. They patrolled the area, but did not find any suspects, the report said.

Anyone with information about the incident may call the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at 283-3388.
