Blazes break out throughout county

By Chris Sardelli

County firefighters were busy earlier this month responding to structure fires in all four main areas of the county within a one-week period.

The blazes included damage to homes and businesses in Lancaster, Heath Springs, Kershaw and Indian Land between Feb. 11 and 17.

The most recent blaze, which destroyed significant portions of a Kershaw home, began burning sometime after 8:15 p.m. Feb. 17, according to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The house is in the 3700 block of Meadow View Drive.
