KERSHAW – A house fire in Kershaw shortly after midnight Wednesday, Sept. 3 was serious but did not claim a man’s life as rumors had been reported, said Lancaster County Fire Marshal Stephen Blackwelder.
A fire at 165 Second St. was called in about 12:30 p.m.. but there were no injuries related to the incident, Blackwelder said.
“There was a report someone was inside but he was in Heath Springs,” Blackwelder said. “There was significant damage to the structure and the roof caved in, but there were no injuries.”
