Elyse’s death should not be forgotten

-A A +A

This letter is in response to the letter to the editor, “No Need to Bring up Previous Fatalities.”   I am Susan Hardin, mother of the late Elyse Rebecca Hardin. The car crash that took Elyse’slife has been mentioned in several articles since her death. I would first like to state that I speak only for our family. I would never be so disrespectful as to speak for the other families who have also lost a child. They continue to be in our thoughts and prayers daily.
I applaud The Lancaster News for continuing to bring Elyse’s death to the attention of their readers. If this information will save one child’s life, it will be worth it. We hope that this exposure will also serve to wake up many parents.
The Lancaster News has our blessing to continue to publish the information concerning the violent crash that killed our daughter, Elyse Rebecca Hardin, at age 15. We pray that one child’s life will be saved as a result of this information.

Susan and Chuck Hardin
Parents of the late Elyse Rebecca Hardin
