The Lancaster Dixie Pre-Majors all-stars opened play in the state tournament at the Lancaster High School baseball field, posting two solid wins.
The Lancaster stars rolled to a 19-2 win over Greer on Saturday and then downed Hilton Head, 11-1.
In the 10-run win over Hilton Head, Jordan Caroway was the team’s player of the game with two singles, a walk and a pair of stolen bases.
Lancaster held a 3-1 edge in the top of the fifth inning when Gabe Glover delivered a two-run single for a 5-1 lead to put Lancaster in charge.
Glover generated two singles in the win.
