The Dirt Diamonds travel softball team went 5-0 and captured the CSA 14U national championship Aug. 11-12 in Florence.
The Diamonds, in pool play, defeated the Sumter Shockers 5-4 (win Haley Vincent) and Carolina Reign 8-0 (win Haley Vincent).
In bracket play, the Diamonds downed the Sumter Shockers 4-1 (win Syd Sullivan) Palmetto Force 6-0 (win Syd Sullivan) and Carolina Reign 5-2 (championship game winning pitcher was Haley Vincent on a three-hitter).
