A Lancaster man remains in jail after getting into a fist fight with a law officer early Saturday morning.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has charged James Mitchell Rollings, 47, of 1173 Flat Creek Road, with assault on a police officer while resisting arrest, driving under suspension – fourth offense, and operating uninsured vehicle.
Deputy Jimmy Stroud tried to stop the Dodge Caravan that Rollings was driving on South Avenue about 12:30 a.m. Saturday because he knew Rollings’ license was suspended, an incident report said.
