Daughter grateful for her father’s recognition  

I am writing, first, to thank my Aunt Agnes Crawford Conway for the letter she wrote about my father concerning the history of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department.
My father was the fire chief from 1956 until he and my mother’s deaths in an auto accident in 1971. This history was documented in a cookbook published in 1988 or 1989.
I can remember the men who were so committed to the fire department at that time. Most of them are gone now, but some of their wives are still with us today.
