The Lancaster County 7-8 Darlings American softball all-stars and National all-stars were slated to play Saturday morning in the district championship round at the Rodman Athletic Complex in Chester County.


The game was completed after The Lancaster News' deadline for the Sunday paper.

The Lancaster Darlings American all-stars posted a 10-9 win over the Lancaster Nationals on Tuesday, July 2.

The Darlings American softball stars tallied a run in the sixth inning to snap a 9-all tie to take the thrilling victory.

The Lancaster teams posted wins in action Wednesday, July 3 to force the rematch.

The Lancaster teams were slated to play Friday, but the games were rained out and reset for Saturday morning in Rodman.

The district champion advances to the state tournament later this month.

The Lancaster County Angels Nationals all-stars, ages 9-10, opened their state tournament hopes Saturday, July 6 in North Charleston.

Lancaster National faced Boiling Springs, with the winner to advance to meet the North Charleston vs. Iva winner on Sunday, July 7.

The  Angels Nationals stars won the  girls 9-10 district softball tournament championship and the state berth with an 11-1 win over Union on Friday, June 28 at the Rodman Athletic Complex.

The Angels Nationals softball all-stars claimed the bid to the district title game with a 12-2 win over Union on Thursday, June 27.

The Lancaster County Parks and Recreation Angels National all-stars notched a 13-6 win over the Lancaster American Angels all-stars to open their district title run last week in Chester County.

In the Ponytails all-stars, ages 11-12, district softball tournament, Union wrapped up the title with an 11-1 win over the Lancaster County all-stars.

 Lancaster County finished as the district runner-up.
