Shawn Crawford’s bid for a 2012 Summer Olympics berth hits full stride today at the U.S. Olympic Trials at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore.
Crawford, the Van Wyck native and former Indian Land High star athlete, will run in the 200-meter qualifying race today at 4:45 p.m.
Crawford, 34, will be seeking to be among the elite eight to advance to the 200-meter finals at 7:50 p.m. Sunday. The top three finishers Sunday make the U.S. Olympic team.
