The Columbus Parker Track Club opened its 2012 youth track club seasonwith a strong showing at UNC Charlotte against the Charlotte Flights.
The field included 1600 athletes and the CPTC earned 20 ribbons.
“Our team is very young with a few returning athletes from last year,” said CPTC assostamt coach Dorothy Spratt-Ingram, “We did well considering the competition.”
The club earned five second-place ribbons, two third-place ribbons, six fourth-place ribbons, four fifth-place and three seventh-place ribbons.
The CPTC would like to salute its donors, with a special thanks to Mr. Jim Morton and Ms. Holly Furr of the J. Marion Sims Foundation, the program’s primary funding source.
