The Columbus Parker Track Club opened its season, capturing 38 ribbons, including six firsts, in a meet with the Charlotte Flights in Charlotte.
The Columbus Parker Track Club, a non-profit organization, is named for its late coach Columbus “Big Daddy” Parker.
The club, which has been in operation for 25 years, is coached by Arthur Benjamin and D. Spratt-Ingram. Tyger Ingram and Eugene Wallace serve as the CPTC assistants.
The team, which has 72 registered members this season, ranges in age from 6-18.
