The Columbus Parker Track Club racked up 25 ribbons before a late spring storm sent the Lancaster area youth track team home at a meet in Gastonia, N.C.
The CPTC competed against 1,500 athletes at Ashbrook High School. The coaches staff noted the team is improving as it prepares for the state qualifying meet in Spartanburg.
The ribbons breakdown for the CPTC included 4 firsts, 2 seconds, 6 thirds, 5 fourths, 2 fifths, 3 sixths and 3 sevenths.
