Couple grateful to EMS staff

By The Staff

So often, one sees only the negative responses to community issues. I would like to take this opportunity to offer positive praise and thanks to our local EMS staff.

We have had cause on two separate occasions lately to be extremely grateful for the prompt and professional service provided us by the Indian Land EMS staff. Once in May when my husband suffered a heart attack, and again in June when he had an internal hemorrhage.

On both occasions, the response time was minimal and the care was exceptional.

Had it not been for the expertise of the staff, especially Catherine who was in the back with him keeping him alive, I could have lost the most important thing in my life – my husband.

We would like to use this public forum to thank them for their commitment, not only to their profession but to the people of this community.

They give of themselves every day, unselfishly and for very little recognition.

I would like thank them and let them know that they are appreciated. Without neighbors such as these, our community would suffer greatly.
