INDIAN LAND - County Council wants a second opinion on the worth of a 9-acre park in Indian Land.
The Lancaster County Joint Recreation Commission and the county Parks and Recreation Department have proposed selling Roy Hardin Park on Collins Road in Indian Land for $1 million. A developer is interested in building a commercial development there and wants to use the park area for storm drainage.
Residents oppose sale of park
Council member Bryan Vaughn, who represents Indian Land, and some Indian Land residents are against the sale.
