A recent letter to the editor drew a comparison between the condition of Taxahaw Road and county buildings. Taxahaw Road is a state secondary road and as such Lancaster County does not own or maintain this roadway.
I will readily admit that it desperately needs maintenance and our delegation is aware of this fact. Sen. Greg Gregory recently wrote a column about the road maintenance problem South Carolina faces and his proposed legislative solution. I, for one, support Sen. Gregory’s initiative.
