The jobless rate in Lancaster County declined for another consecutive month, according to figures recently released by the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce.
In September, Lancaster County posted an employment rate of 11 percent, a drop from the 12.6 percent from August. In July, the rate was 13 percent.
These numbers are all a decline from the county’s September 2011 rate, which was 13.8 percent, according to a Department of Employment and Workforce media release.
