County Council talks trash

County Council talked quite a bit of trash over the proposed hours for the county's dump sites before voting to close four sites on Sundays at Monday night's meeting.

County Administrator Steve Willis proposed closing all sites, also known as convenience sites, on Sundays.

Four sites – Indian Land, Erwin Farm, Lynwood Drive and Race Track, were open on Sundays – while the rest were closed.

The new proposal also extended hours at some sites until 8 p.m., or closed four other sites at 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
