County Classic softball tourney continues at Springdale Park

Play in the second annual Lancaster County Classic preseason softball tournament at Springdale Park continues today with a host of games.

Andrew Jackson opened its pool play Wednesday night when the Lady Volunteers took a 10-8 win over Class AAAA foe Lugoff-Elgin.

Admission to the 12-team tournament is $5 per person. Tournament passes are also available at the gate.

Play today features six games on two fields.

Play on field three opens with defending champion Buford meeting North Central at 4:45 p.m.
