County’s three mayors discuss plans, goals for the new year

From Lancaster to Heath Springs and Kershaw, construction and infrastructural development highlighted a lot of the governmental activity in 2012.

With a new year here, the mayors of those three municipalities now discuss what they see on the horizon for the next 12 months.

City of Lancaster

Lancaster Mayor Joe Shaw said he looks forward to the completion of the city-funded road improvements on Brook Drive, which is near the University of South Carolina Lancaster.

Plans are for that road to be the location for future student housing.
