Small business owners who were lining up to use Lancaster County’s Agribusiness Development Center will have to find new places to mix their sauces or package foods after county officials shut down the program Monday night, Oct. 28.
Following months of county support for the program, which would have allowed food-related small businesses access to commercially licensed kitchens and manufacturing space, Lancaster County Council voted 6-1 to halt all funding for the Agribusiness Center, located at 3758 Charlotte Highway (U.S. 521).
